(1) There will be a meeting as the supreme body of the institution.
(2) The composition of the Assembly shall be as follows:
(a) Vice-Chancellor – Chairman
(b) Vice-Chancellor – Member
(c) Member, National Planning Commission (Looking at Health) – Member
(d) Two members nominated by the assembly from among the vice-chancellors of universities or institutions that study and research on medical matters. (e) Secretary, Ministry of Health and Population – Member
(f) The Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology – Member (g) Secretary, Ministry of Finance – Member
(h) Chairman, University Grants Commission – Member
(i) Chairman, Nepal Medical Council – Member
(j) Chairman, Nepal Health Research Council – Member
(k) Principal – Member
(l) Dean – Member
(d) Chief, Kathmandu Metropolitan City – Member (l) Two members nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the directors or medical superintendents of the hospitals that have entered into an agreement with the establishment. (n) Dean, Tribhuvan University Institute of Medical Sciences – Member
(i) One member nominated by the Assembly on the recommendation of the Academic Council from amongst the scientists in the health sector. (th) Two members nominated by the Assembly on the recommendation of the Academic Council from amongst the teachers (d) Head of Nursing-related Institutions run under the Foundation – Member
(D) Two members nominated by the Government of Nepal to represent women among eminent scholars and social workers. (n) Registrar – Member – Secretary
(3) The term of office of the nominated members according to sub-section (2) will be three years.
(4) If the Assembly wishes, it can invite the person involved in the study and research work in the field of medical science to participate in the meeting of the Assembly as an observer.
(5) The procedure for the meeting of the Assembly shall be as prescribed.
